After 9 months of being told about the beautiful climate in the city of Jos, I got a bit of a surprise when we arrived here today, and nearly drowned in the street. We were taking a pleasant stroll through town when it started to darken overhead and I thought it was time to start for home. But then rain, and rain, and rain...
It took less than 3 minutes for the sky to darken and the heavens to open (at least in Minna we tend to have time to get home!) We tried to shelter in a shop doorway but the torrential rain, hailstones (!), thunder and lightening pursued us and we turned up in the cybercafe like a pair of drowned rats...
