Oyibo food...

After a particularly nice roast chicken dinner recently we were discussing the reasons why much of the chicken here is tough and stringy (as with much of the meat). A friend of a friend explained that the chickens that roam about (free-range) furage for food whereas the other, more tender chickens are fed oyibo food. I wasnt quite with her for a moment until she explained that oyibo food is processed food (battery hens).
Makes you stop for a minute and think about what we eat, doesnt it!
