Yippee for visitors...

Noirin, my sister, arrived in Nigeria on Sunday night and is right at home already. We stayed in the Crystal Palace Hotel on Sunday night, as is traditional for first nights in Nigeria, and travelled to Minna on Monday. In just 48 hours she has taken okada, visited the market, been to a bush bar, battled with the heat, greeted my neighbours, colleagues & friends, eaten Nigerian food (beans, rice & stew), vso food (indomie & egg) and Irish food (bulleyes & clove rocks).
I’m not sure how she is doing, but I’m exhausted…

This is Nor eating indomie & egg which I tried to explain is very traditional food - but she keeps asking when I am going to make pounded yam (dammit!)
